History
North Country Rivers is Maine’s Premier Outdoor Adventure Outfitter. Beginning operations in 1983, in The Forks, Maine. From this location we offered high quality whitewater rafting trips on the Kennebec, Penobscot and Dead Rivers.
In 2000, we acquired one of our largest competitors, Maine Whitewater, and moved our operation to Bingham, Maine. From our new location, we expanded our services beyond whitewater rafting, by offering packages that include tent camping, platform tent camping, RV Camping, deluxe cabins and Patrick’s restaurant & pub. In addition, we developed or ATV and Snowmobiling operations in Bingham, Maine, offering rentals, tours and packages for both ATV, Side-by-Sides and Snowmobiling enthusiasts.
Most recently, we added a 9-hole disc golf course to our facilities; this complements the hiking and biking trails, trail bikes, fly-fishing, volleyball, horseshoes and more. All of these activities are included in all packages, when staying at North Country Rivers base in Bingham, Maine.
Today and into the future, North Country Rivers is committed to excellence in providing the finest trips and services possible to enjoy the Maine Outdoors!
